ACHIEVEMENTS

 
In 1987 the Phoenix Sports Academy was formed.
*Prestigious "Abhijeet Kadam memorial tournament"phoenix qualified by playing qualifier rounds and reached in semi-finals.

*Recently in 2010-11 it got promoted to Super Division, the top most Division of the Pune District League.
The club has conducted Asia under 13 selection trials sponsored by YAMAHA.

*Further championship was held in Balewadi by Black Burn Rovers Football Club, in which Omkar Havele got selected for the training at Blackburn. He was one of the three players selected from our country.

*Recently club stood as runner-up and won the trophy, in tournament held in Chinchwad.

Phoenix have put on six teams in football 'Mahayudha' organized by our parents body western India football association i.e WIFA under 16.18,14 our 3 teams reached in finals in respective groups.

*Phoenix always performed with our strength build/groomed on our ground and trained by our coaches.

FUTURE PLANS


In order to reach the vision and the targeted objectives of the club, Phoenix is attempting to turn every possible stone. Phoenix has been appointing national level coaches, sending it.s promising members for outstation training camps, working towards providing adequate infra structure to achieve the desired level of expertise amongst the trainees as well as the trainers.
However, this is not all. Phoenix has ambitious plans for the game and its players. Moving ahead as a team for a noble cause the Phoenix office bearers believe that Talent might win a game or two but team work and intelligence win championships.
The current playing conditions on the Shahu College ground are hardly of any quality. Phoenix proposes to join hands with the college authorities to improve the ground conditions and also adding an athletic track plus a volleyball and a kabaddi ground to the present infra-structure. To build a personal training centre for the youth in the neighbouring areas. Work towards identifying and providing solutions for physical problems of the senior citizens in the neighbouring areas. To commence District and National level tournaments on their home ground and invite clubs of strong repute. To conduct holiday sports camps activity for boys and girls on a regular basis To conduct physical development activity for kids.
Our future plans are championship victories for us and for the city and these could be won only by a team effort. A team of Phoenix and you. The way a team plays as a whole determines its success. Having the greatest bunch of individual stars in the world may not be so handy as a group of members who play together. People who work together will win, whether it be against complex football defences, or the problems of modern society.
